Voltaire is one of only two girls I have ever shot off of OMP. The second being Sabrina, who Forrest Black and I had shot before, but whose email I had lost. Not that Voltaire ever checks her OMP email, but that was the first place I tried to make contact with her because her looks just fits the Blue Blood aesthetic so well. We eventually hooked up at the Los Angeles edition of the Tease-O-Rama modern burlesque event. She and another girl were trying to get me to try a breast or ass shimmy move in the girls’ bathroom. I steered the two sexy milkshakes over to where Forrest Black photographed them for some event coverage we were working on for a variety of publications. Afterwards, Voltaire, who is the queen of working the power of her visual impact, hit Forrest up for a drink. I told her to write down her phone number on her model release and Forrest hit the bar. Usually, I do more of the talent scouting, but Forrest was totally the organizer on this one.

Eventually, we got around to photographing Voltaire pretty often. In person, she is surprisingly different from the way she appears in photos. She photographs with a sort of serene beauty which is miles away from the balls out way she tears it up in real life. We took her to Vegas for the AVN show and for BondCon where she was one of our lovely Blue Blood booth babes. One of the nights there, she and I went to meet Blue Blood superstar girl Szandora and Blue Blood photographer Dying Sunshine at the Double Down Saloon where a very loud band was playing. The bouncer asks Voltaire for her license and starts quizzing the hell out of her about her stats. It was not until he asked for her phone number that I was like, wait a minute, the DoubleDown doesn’t ever have a doorman. The guy looked the part and may have done that job somewhere some time. Just not there that night.

Forrest Black and I have shot Voltaire for Rubber Dollies, Barely Evil, Gothic Sluts, and Marquis. I interviewed her about the night we met. "My interest in burlesque stems from my love of all forms of dance," the sexy blonde siren says, "I started taking dance at the age of six, and have taken dance my whole life… dancing pretty much is my whole life… I've done it for a living off and on for the past ten years now." Some of her favorite fetishes relate to her love of traditional tease dance. She smiles seductively expressing how much she enjoys, "corsets, shoes, and clothing from the 20s and 30s -- almost any vintage clothing before 1960 will do though -- especially old showgirl costumes, and everyday wear from the 1920s… My favorite fetish," this hot rising star says, "is probably playing dress up with someone, or rope bondage. I would be doing the tying of course. Supensions with rope bondage are cool too."
