SQP has published a collection of illustrations by longtime (since 1996!) Blue Blood contributor Ed Mironiuk. The Art of Ed Mironiuk, Volume 1 contains artwork featuring Masuimi Max, Kumi, Tall Goddess, Brandy D’Vinn, and Dana Dark. I’m particularly excited about the Dana Dark piece because it was drawn off of reference photographs shot by yours truly and Forrest Black. Additionally, the book is blurbed by Kumi, Mistress Persephone, Brandy D’Vinn, and Fetus de Milo.

Angela Ryan, photographed by Michael Park, marks the eighth Gothic Beauty covergirl who appears on BlueBlood.com. Others include Batty, Yolanda, Mistress Domiana, Szandora, Belfast, Katie, and Fetus de Milo. No other membership site comes close to this number of Gothic Beauty covergirls. SuicideGirls is a distant second place with the two Apnea covers and the one Ulorin Vex one.

When Blue Blood started, it was almost impossible to find anyone who would shoot a person with Crayola hair with fashion lighting. Both style and sensuality were things I really looked for editorially and still look for in models, so it seems like seeking flattering presentation in photography is just the logical extension. This is why I do not think of something which is so fundamental as cross-over. It is both gratifying and vaguely unsettling that something which was once such a struggle to publish and to distribute and to get anyone to shoot is now so nearly commonplace.
